OUR STATE-OF-THE-ART DELIVERY FLEET
Since 1978, we've been refining the design of our site sleepers and welfare units alongside the way we deliver them. All our units are proudly manufactured in our Oldham factory and transported by our own specialised fleet. This gives us complete control over the quality and timing of your delivery.
Our fleet is spearheaded by four impressive VOLVO FM Sleeper Cabs. These Euro 6 compliant 8x4 trucks are fitted with draw-bar trailers and powerful HIAB XS477 cranes that have a reach of over 15 metres. This equipment means we are fully self-sufficient; we don't need you to arrange for unloading equipment. Our skilled drivers can lift and position each unit precisely where you need it, even on the most challenging of sites. If an HGV can access your site, we can deliver your cabins.
The lorries are equipped with the latest logistics technology to provide you with highly accurate estimated times of arrival. Our system constantly analyses traffic conditions, mandatory driver tacho breaks and access requirements to give you a delivery window you can rely on.
THE BUNKABIN INSTALLATION PROCESS
Our aim is to make the installation of your unit as straightforward as possible. There’s a reason we describe the process as plug and play – the hard work is already taken care of before your cabin arrives. It works like this:
- Site assessment: we work with you to assess that the intended location for the unit is suitable, with level ground and clear access needed for our delivery vehicle.
- Precise placement: upon arrival, our driver will use the lorry's integrated HIAB crane to carefully unload and position the unit. The extensive reach of our cranes provides excellent flexibility for placing the unit in the optimal position.
- Rapid connection: our units are designed for immediate use. Once sited, they are ready to be connected to the power, water and waste services you have arranged. The entire process, from unloading to being ready for connection, can take as little as 30 minutes.
It’s a simple process, and once your units are placed and connected, they're ready for your people to use right away.

What do I need to prepare before my Bunkabin delivery?
To enable a smooth installation, you should make sure that the access route to the drop-off point is clear of obstructions and that the ground where the unit will be sited is firm, level and solid. We can't drop off on mud, because that could mean collection could become difficult if the weather deteriorates. You will also need to have your service connections (power, water and waste) ready for when the units are in position.
Do I need to seek planning permission for a Bunkabin?
As our units are portable buildings intended for temporary use, planning permission is not always required. However, regulations will vary depending on your local council and how long the unit will be on site. We always recommend checking with your local planning authority before arranging to hire these units.
Do you stack your site sleepers?
We have a strict policy against stacking our site sleepers. We believe that providing ground-level-only accommodation is important for creating a safe and serene living environment for your people.
